Description
El presente análisis de vulnerabilidades y riesgos climáticos, se realiza en el marco del proyecto Nature4Cities, implementado por el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA), financiado por el Fondo Verde para el Clima (FVC) y cofinanciado por el programa de la Unión Europea Euroclima+. Este proyecto regional, llevado a cabo en La Lima y en otras 12 ciudades de la región, tiene por objetivo reducir la vulnerabilidad al cambio climático de las áreas urbanas a través de Soluciones basadas en la Naturaleza (SbN). Para lograr este propósito, es necesario un proceso participativo que permita la co-creación de conocimientos y así facilitar la incorporación de todos los actores en el proceso de diagnóstico de los riesgos climáticos, exploración de soluciones y selección de las SbN a implementar. De esta manera se puede apoyar la toma de decisiones en las ciudades a través de la integración de la vulnerabilidad y riesgos en la planificación urbana para asegurar el escalonamiento de las SbN y sus múltiples co beneficios vinculados al buen uso de los ecosistemas urbanos y periurbanos.
