In the second half of 2024, the EANET continued to expand its efforts against acid deposition and air pollution through monitoring, capacity-building, and outreach activities. Discussions on its next Medium-Term Plan for 2025-2030 were also initiated.
In November 2024, the 26th Intergovernmental Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, approved the Core Budget for key meetings and monitoring activities and also approved 12 EANET Projects for 2025. These projects focus on capacity building,
public awareness, monitoring, and research activities emphasizing expanded collaboration and innovative approaches to air quality monitoring and policy support.
