Description
En el 2008 Uruguay se encuentra frente a un contexto internacional, regional y nacional que presiona fuertemente sobre las variables que influyen en el estado del ambiente en el país. Se esperan las siguientes tendencias por parte de las principales fuerzas motrices detrás de los cambios ambientales en Uruguay: Los precios internacionales de los principales productos que Uruguay exporta continuarán elevados o al alza, el consumo interno se mantiene al alza, el proceso de extranjerización y concentración de la tierra continúa, y persiste la falta de fiscalización ambiental.
