This report reviews a number of successful policy actions that have been effective in substantially reducing emissions at the national level. For example, appliance standards, performance standards for vehicles, and economic incentives to reduce deforestation to name but three. Many of these are being implemented for reasons other than climate change and they are generating multiple Green Economy benefits and opportunities right across the sustainable development landscape.
