The training targeted government officials at senior technical level from COBSEA countries involved in planning and management of coastal and marine areas and their natural resources, representing cross-sectoral management bodies or relevant sectors such as environment, fisheries, tourism, transportation or energy. In total, twenty participants from COBSEA countries attended the training (Annex I).
The training aimed at building capacity of MCSP in the East Asian Seas region through studying theoretical and practical aspects of spatial planning in marine and coastal areas as well as discussing needs-specific action in each country.
