dc.descriptionThis chapter focuses on the role and importance of natural capital in measuring the IW of nations. The analysis is based on the same data set used in Chapter 1: a 140-country analysis of IW over 25 years (1990–2014). Following Arrow et al. (2012) and previous editions of the IWR, this report expands the scope of national capital in accounts of national wealth to allow for a broader understanding. In this report, national capital is classified into two major categories: (1) renewable resources and (2) non-renewable resources.en_US
