This report is focused toward environmentally sound integrated planning and management of coastal zones. This volume is the fifth in a series that provides a record of meetings sponsored by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for the purpose of encouraging inter-regional cooperation and communication among scientists and administrators concerned with the three Regional Seas Programmes and their Action Plans in or adjoining the tropical and southern Pacific (South Pacific, South-East Pacific, and East Asian Seas).
