Description

The South Asian Seas Programme (SASP) has taken the initiative in organising a Training Workshop on Marine Resources Sampling, Data Collection & Interpretation for the SouthAsian Seas based on a recommendation of the IntergovernmentalMeeting of Ministers of SASP, wherein Capacity Building has been identified as one of the four major activities. Some of the cross-cutting issues are Development of National Research, Monitoring and Assessment Capacity, including Training in Assessment and Early Warning
 
Support to National and Regional Institutions in Data Collection, Analysis and Monitoring of Environmental Trends
 
and Access to Scientific and Technological Information.
