La Evaluación del medio ambiente cubano GEO Cuba 2007 es el resultado de un proceso de consultas con organismos e instituciones gubernamentales y no gubernamentales del país. La obra en sus seis capítulos recoge las principales tendencias sociales, económicas y ambientales de los últimos siete años. Asimismo, pretende relacionar las dimensiones humanas con los cambios que se han producido, así como las oportunidades que el medio ambiente proporciona para el bienestar humano. Ofrece también una perspectiva del futuro, y de las opciones políticas para solucionar los problemas ambientales actuales y emergentes.
