The World Bank and the United Nations Environment Programme address conflict risks and peacebuilding opportunities from natural resources in fragile states and help to build mechanisms for good natural resource governance. The two organizations held a joint public seminar on 31 January 2013 at UNEP Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya to share lessons learned and present the latest knowledge and practice on conflict mitigation in fragile states. An audience of approximately 50 people representing Governments, NGOs, research institutes, and international organizations actively participated in the discussions.
