The Meeting will consist of High-Level Panels and Ministerial Dialogues and will adopt the outcome documents of the XII Meeting of the Forum. Ministers will also have the opportunity to share their views and national positions on priority topics of the region and dialogue on the main theme of the Forum, and to agree on opportunities to increase regional and international cooperation.
In addition, the Forum of Ministers will discuss preparations for the Fifth United Nations Environment Assembly (Nairobi, Kenya, February 2021 and early 2022) with the main theme "Strengthening Actions for Nature to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals".
It will present the outcomes of the Civil Society Consultations, which include key topics on the environmental agendas in the context of the Forum of Ministers of Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean. It will update information on Civil Society preparation for UNEA 5.
