This is a concept for the online webinar that was held to Explore potential interlinkages between the BBNJ Agreement and Biodiversity, Chemicals and Waste Related MEAs. The first workshop focused on exploring the interlinkages between the BBNJ Agreement and biodiversity, chemicals, and waste-related MEAs, leveraging UNEP’s expertise. The aim of the workshop was to enhance understanding of the potential connections that exist, facilitate coordination on technical assistance, and provide a platform for input into UNEP’s horizon scan. report. The second workshop was seek to enhance stakeholders understanding of the BBNJ Agreement including its relationships with various related MEAs such as those addressing biodiversity, waste and chemicals. This was targeted to National Focal Points of the Fifth Montevideo Environmental Law Programme, MEAs Focal Points, UNEP Regional and Sub-Regional Offices, and RSCAPs.
